Last Saturday was something that I looked forward to for a couple of weeks or a month. I was supposed to meet with two friends to teach them a few things about photography that I know. Not that I'm that good at it, I just wanted to share a few tricks. It was a basic photography day turned to an adventure. It didn't happen as planned, Rika was not able to join us so it was just a day of Kate and I.
11:00 - 13:00
Glorietta was the agreed meeting place in front of Topshop. Kate wanted to check if they have stocks for the pair of shoes that she's dying to have since, according to her, summer. I was a bit late so I was rushing through the entire mall looking for the shop thinking that there was really a branch inside. An awesome idea came to my mind. Ask the Concierge. So much for Glorietta, the shop was in Greenbelt. Good thing it was just one mall away. And so there we were. Hi-Hello and Lunch.
As usual, deciding where to eat was the hardest part. We ended up in the foodcourt with another wide variety of food choices. I saw an Indian Cuisine kiosk. We had doubts at first so we roamed a little more and ended up in front of the same kiosk. Yes. Indian Cuisine! At first glance, I was thinking that I'd regret eating there but to my surprise, I had the set of food that my taste buds were craving for about 4 years now. The taste of spices, chili, yellow rice and chicken that creates an epic taste combined together. I had Chicken Biryani(Kabsa as I know it) and Spicy Buttered Chicken.
13:00-16:00
We went to Timezone and I was forced to play Guitar heroes. I suck at that game. I want to learn how to play the guitar and playing Guitar Heroes makes me lose hope. I was good in one trivia game played on a bigscreen, played bowling for dummies, karaoke and the racing game which I really love. Afterwards, we decided to head back to Greenbelt and start our lessons there. On our way there, I dropped by shoe salon to check if there were any nice pair of white shoes. To Kate's surprise, she found the pair of shoes that she's been dying to have so she asked if they have her size and luckily, yes they did. She was the happiest girl then. On our way to Greenbelt, we just talked and discovered a few things.
Out of the blue I remembered that I didn't have drinks when we had lunch so we headed back to Glorietta to buy one and stayed at Starbucks for a couple of minutes.
16:00-19:00
Off to Diliman, we took the MRT and to our dismay, it was almost rush hour so it was a bit crowded. Arrived at Trinoma then took a PUJ to our destination. All the time it wasn't raining and we were so thankful since we thought we were given the perfect weather for a photo op but it started to rain the moment we set foot in the university. Spoiler. We just took a few shots then went to the market or mall as they call it. I forced Kate to eat Balot and it took her almost half an hour to finish. Good thing the chick was quite small so she ate it all. An achievement, she said. It was getting dark so we went back to Trinoma to go home but then again, no one wanted to go home. We decided to have go to the park near Makati Med and drop by SM Megamall to claim my prize at Penshoppe, check out Forever 21 and have dinner.
19:00-22:00
Something happened to the MRT on our way to our next destination so we waited in the station for half an hour. When our ride came, people were already crowding up and all was eager to get inside the train. We stood on a spot where the doors would stop. Upon seeing the train, the people were starting to push their way to the front and when the doors opened, it was history. We were able to sit but our problem was how to go out when we arrive at our next stop. One stop before our final stop, we already tried to make our way out. Guess what, we just stood and literally moved for about two steps and the doors closed again. More people tries to get in at every stop. To make the long story short, we got out of MRT right where we're supposed to stop. First thing we did when we arrived was to claim my prize. I didn't expect much but I did get much. A perfume worth 350php. I was happy. So we checked out Forever 21 and I would describe it as a store that every girl dreams of. An hour isn't enough to check the whole area. The store also has clothes for men so It got me thinking twice where to buy a jacket. Celio or Forever21? Finally, dinner.
22:00-00:01
We found ourselves at Greenbelt once more. We really needed to rest so we stayed there for about half an hour and took some more pictures. We went to our final stop past 23:00, dropped by Ministop and once again I was a happy kid. I had ice cream, cheap yet tastes good. Finally, our last stop. The park which I forgot the name. We played in the playground for a few minutes then went home.
